“If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.”
-Henry David Thoreau
My name is Akeo Maifeld-Carucci. I was born and raised in Bozeman, MT. I started skiing at age 2 and grew up skiing with Bridger Ski Foundation (BSF). I attended college at Harvard University where I majored in Mechanical Engineering and had a blast spending 4 years skiing for The Crimson.
At the conclusion of my collegiate career, as my classmates took prestigious jobs across the country and the world, I chose to return home to follow my passion of competitive ski racing. I gain immense joy and personal happiness from skiing and the pursuit of a lofty goal. The multi-colored rings of the Olympics inspire people worldwide and this vision drives me to become my best and be able to bring the light from those torches back into our communities.
